About

Caroline and Paul appointed us to rework their large town house situated in a conservation area in South London.

The house had had some strange previous alterations and the layout did not work for the family.  The kitchen was very small and there was a split level between the front room and the back sitting room making both spaces difficult to use.

Paul is a keen cyclist and his bikes cluttered the hallway.  The family wine collection was poorly stored and took up lots of the living spaces and there was nowhere to clean the dog or store the laundry.

We reinstated the dividing wall between the front reception room to create a formal sitting room with parquet flooring, new book storage and a new fireplace.  The back sitting room was transformed into a boot room with a toilet and a dog shower.  Paul's bikes were given a wall mounted storage space.

The kitchen was then knocked through to the rear sitting room to create a large, relaxed kitchen and entertaining space which connects to the garden.

The whole house was redecorated and finished to a high standard.

"We would happily recommend Fergus and his company. His creative design exceeded our expectations.

With any medium or large building project, things will not always go to plan. What you need is a Fergus alongside you to come up with practical solutions, sort out the builders and keep you sane."
