About
ALU principal was the project architect responsible for the design and delivery of the landscape scheme for 'The Wilderness,' a new street and square between Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and the design academy at Liverpool John Moores University, whilst working at Landscape Projects.
The more formal spaces of a wide lawn and square at the entrance of the academy melds with the informal swaths of planting which extend down from the cathedral to create delightful landscape setting for both buildings. The landscape gained a BREEAM excellent rating.
The seating in the square provides a loose and comfortable space for the students to meet, sit, chat and think.
